Updating the subarea plan may be the most important activity this
decade for our region and we encourage all of you to carefully read
the information on this page. We cannot stress too much the importance
of participating in all aspects of this process with Foothills residents,
the consultant team and the planning staff and staying the course
until County Council adopts our plan.

Schedule for
updating the Foothills Subarea Plan is as follows:
• Due date for submission of proposals
by consultants – November 2, 2005
• Reading and ranking of consultant proposals by advisory committee
members – before November 15, 2005
• Advisory committee meeting to determine and recommend to
County Planning which consultants should be interviewed – November
15, 2005
• Interviews of consultants – TBA
• Selection of consultant – TBA
• Anticipated commencement of the updating process – early
2006
• First community meeting – TBA
• Anticipated completion of the updating process – end
of 2006
• Anticipated submission of Updated Foothills Subarea Plan
to County Council for approval – early 2007
